A fortnight, five stages, one designer.
Every commission moves through the same five stages. No black-box process, no discovery sprints, no pretending a small business website is a moon landing.
01
The brief
A single 45-minute call. I take notes by hand, then write them back to you as a one-page brief. If it doesn't feel right, we stop here and you owe nothing.
02
The sitemap
Five pages, drawn as boxes on paper first, then as a shared document. Every page earns its place or gets cut.
03
The composition
Type is set. Photographs are chosen or commissioned. Every screen is drawn at three sizes — phone, tablet, laptop — before a line of code is written.
04
The build
Hand-written HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript. No template. No page builder. No 40 MB of frameworks nobody needs.
05
The press
Two rounds of revisions on the live pages. Domain pointed. Analytics installed if you want them, refused if you don't. Site goes live on the fourteenth day.
Small,
on purpose.
- Only one designer.
- You get me for the whole project. No junior hand-offs, no agency middlemen, no account manager.
- Only one fee.
- From £500, invoiced 50% up front and 50% on the day the site goes live. No add-ons, no scope games.
- Only two weeks.
- Ten working days from signed brief to live site. If I miss the date, the second invoice is halved.
- Only what you need.
- Five pages, one form, one contact route. Anything more is a second commission, quoted separately.
Or write in and start the brief.
